Safety Precautions:

If you have an electric kettle in your kitchen, make a note of these points:

  • The range of power supply should be on par with the specified range of the manufacturer.
  • The surface on which kettle is placed has to be absolutely flat.
  • Never ever immerse the kettle body or its parts in liquids or water. This can lead to the penetration of liquids into the electrical components of the device.
  • Don’t try to remove the bottom cover of the base. It protects the device from fire or electrical shocks.
  • Make sure that there are no electrical burners near to the kettle.

Cleaning and Storage:

  • Unplug the base and allow the hot kettle to cool down before cleaning it.
  • Use soap water to clean the kettle. Placing in a dishwasher can cause considerable damage to the appliance.
  • Often, you can find that the kettle overheats but the water inside it doesn’t boil. This is the indication of presence of scales inside the device. They act as heat insulators and don’t transmit heat to the water. Treating with lime can remove the scales.
  • Never use abrasive soaps to clean the exterior of the kettle. Instead, try wiping with a damp cloth.
